Untitled poem

I'm sharing one of my favorite poems. I don't know if it has a title.
I dedicate it the all those on the path of Heart.

And the day came,
when the risk
to remain tight
in a bud
was more painful
than the risk
it took
to Blossom.
-Anais Nin

Thank you for a most accurate piece. Mindell would say that the courage to open up is the shaman's dreamingbody at work. "If you follow your body's sensations, you feel more completely here, as if you are really living and creating life."

I've falsely believed that I could outlast the outside world's corrupting influence by remaining sealed and shielded. The art is learning when and how to blend into winter and spring; to blossom effortlessly when the time is right.

I'm still trying to fully understand it, but may be the challenge of revealing the true self to the outside world is what Mindell refers to in the "Deathwalk "chapter. Overcoming the fear of breaking certain rules and venturing out into the unknown; of exposing the self to the firing squad of conventional thinking, and giving form to the colorful ghosts inside is freedom.
