WELCOME!

This is an ongoing US and global project to help enthusiasts, scholars, practitioners, and curious parties learn more about shamanic living in a contemporary culture. The space here is devoted to sharing info, experiences and opinions about all forms of shamanic expression covering shamanism's multiple permutations. Among subjects explored are traditions, techniques, insights, definitions, events, artists, authors, and creativity. You are invited to draw from your own experiences and contribute.

News....

Dear Tribe~

I wanted to share with you that "She Who Remembers" lost her father last night. In some ways, it is a relief, as he was not a kind father, and now she can move on. In other ways it brings great grief, for all that never was, and now can never be. Let's keep her in our thoughts as she moves through this important, sacred, and confusing time, emerging all the more in her powerful shamanic identity.

I also wanted to let you all know that today I spent five hours in a sweat lodge, praying for each member of the tribe. As I prayed to Great Spirit, if I am going to make you all sweat, the least I can do is sweat myself! So feel the prayers, and let many of them drift off to She Who Remembers.

Hugs, Walks In Two Worlds

Loss and beginnings, grief and relief, circles upon circles, we spiral like galaxies, tumbling through the unknown I hold you in my heart.

My thoughts are with you. The hardest thing is to be unable to have what could be - at least in ordinary reality.

I hold the little girl in my arms, grieving your loss, remembering your despair, trusting your strength.
I cuddle your soul, breath on your scars, pouring light and love on the beautiful woman you became, bowing to the shaman growing in you. The tribe is there for you.
You will always remember...

Out from the darkness there will be light; there is no rush.... allow....the grieving to wash potentials seen and unseen, transmuting through the cleansing fire.
When you are ready emerge with the medicine, trust you are on your way, for you carry the wisdom in your body, the stories to be danced, so no one will forget.
